Weerd Science has a huge show tomorrow! They'll be sharing the stage with Josh Eppard's first band, 3 at Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, NY. The entire Weerd Science camp is super stoked and have some surprises in store for the crowd! If you can't make it, or even if you do make it, pretty soon after the show- super high quality audio will be available for download on http://aftershowmusic.com
The show is in celebration of 3's latest release, a new take on old
songs (some of which were written while Josh was still in 3), Revisions. A few weeks ago they shot a video for the single, "Rabid Animals" around town. Tons of friendly cameos! The video premiered last night on Sputnik Music.
And oh, can't forget the "Eppard Family Values" show- Saturday, December 5th at The Basement in Kingston!

Um... holy shit. That set was too fucking good for words! The Eppards are so in sync... I can't wait for the weekend of December 3rd, 4th & 5th! Best "Paint By Number" I've ever heard. Stories of how they grew up around the corner from the venue brought me back to the first time I saw Joey solo, 4 1/2 years ago at that very spot - when it was the Forum.
I really wish someone could've recorded it. Could be the best Eppard Brothers performance - but I can't let myself say that it was. Each one holds a special nostalgic place in my heart. Can't be objective... however, I couldn't peel myself away to take any video or photos. They sounded too damn good!
No Eppard Brothers show ceases to be magical! And The Ricochet and Cosmonaut were fuckin' wicked too. I look forward to hearing and seeing more from them both.

John Eppard was infamously arrested in Woodstock, NY (1994) for the lyrical content of his songs… Sued… Inspired a secret investigation that blew the lid off local cops kid-touching. He relocated to California and has since become a staple in the Bay area DIY scene.

"I've
been a fan of the band 3 from the moment I was turned onto their CD
Wake Pig in 2006... And as
much as I already loved the CD, I was even more blown away by their
live performance."
-
Mike Portnoy / Dream Theater
"Listening to a 3 album or watching them recreate their music live is truly mind-blowing. Be one of the lucky ones to say "I remember them before they were huge", they are that good." - Howard Jones / Killswitch Engage
"One of the few modern bands I truly consider to be great, an inspiration to me and all the members of Co&Ca." - Claudio Sanchez / Coheed and Cambria
“It is hard to come by a band that combines numerous musical elements into an appealing combination. 3 is one of those bands. For their newest album The End is Begun they have created an album that shows they are truly like no other. Each member of the band is an amazing talent on their own. Together they create a sound that will blow your mind. Enjoy!” - Travis Stever / Coheed and Cambria
"3 have it all! Great musicianship, funky grooves, catchy melodies....and their latest CD is my favorite yet! I dig this band so much; they were at the top of my list for the upcoming Progressive Nation tour." - Mike Portnoy / Dream Theater
"One of the great things about having 3 open for Porcupine Tree is how much they made us raise our own game - every night their incendiary 45minute set gave us an almost impossible act to follow. Simply one of the best new live acts around." - Steven Wilson / Porcupine Tree
Session 606 is the solo project of 21 year old singer/songwriter/guitarist/musical genius, Anthony Masington
Hailing from Feasterville Trevose, Pennsylvania - Ant Mas spent the first half of 2009 where the music lead him - Kingston, NY. There is where he began to record his debut. He found himself working with David "Wavis" Parker (original live Coheed and Cambria keyboard player + Weerd Science collaborator + producer) and inevitably ran into session drummer (and original Coheed and Cambria drummer) Josh Eppard. The three of them meshed so well, they ended up forming Mours. Currently that project is on the backburner while Ant is continuing to work on his record (unfortunately the files with Josh drumming on the Session 606 material has been absorbed in the ethers of small town hell) and while Josh is pursuing his sophomore Weerd Science release, Sick Kids. They continue to work together with Ant performing guitar live with Weerd Science.
Here's a bunch of the Session 606 demos:

and some videos:
Since the moment I heard his music I've been in love. It's truly beautiful, inspiring and natural.

Weerd Science - http://myspace.com/weerdscience
Weerd Science is the heart and soul of Joshua Eric Eppard. Often mislabeled as, "Nerd Rap," Weerd Science is difficult to categorize. Josh crafts his own beats with Wavis (and sometimes CJB or Dirty Ern). The first album is a compilation of older tracks. The second album, Sick Kids, will be released this winter and features live instruments, many of which were performed by Josh himself, Wavis and CJB. Joey Eppard, stand up bassist Matt Goldpaugh (Matty The Knife), Clip Payne (P-Funk), Adam Wirnoff (Lenny Kravitz, Stoney Clove Lane, Mechanical Bull, Mercury Rev), Majestic, Anni Krueger, Gangstroph The Baptist are featured on SiKi.
3 - http://myspace.com/officialbandthree
3 was originally formed in 1992/3 as Joey Eppard on guitar, Chris (CJB) Bittner on bass and Josh Eppard on drums. Josh picked up the drums specifically for this band and stayed with them until about 1999. In 1997 they were signed to Universal Records, but then subsequently dropped due to the Universal/Polygram merger. Josh did some studio work and eventually joined Shabutie in 2001. Shabutie became Coheed and Cambria, where he stayed until 2006. Josh now puts all his effort into his heart: Weerd Science. CJB remained with 3 until 2001 and became a producer at the infamous Applehead Studio in Woodstock, NY (Coheed and Cambria, Anadivine, Codeseven, The Sleeping, John Mayer, Tony Levin, Bad Brains are among the endless albums with CJB's imprint). Joey Eppard is still with 3. Their music incorporates many genres and cannot be explained verbally. You've gotta hear it for yourself to understand.
Joey Eppard - http://myspace.com/joeyeppard
Joey Eppard is a very diverse musician with a distinctive vocal and guitar sound. His style of playing has been referred to as a hybrid of flamenco and slap fingerpicking, but Joey's just Joey. His band is and always has been 3 and he involves himself in many other projects- including several with P-Funk members (DRUGS, 420 Funk Mob, Cacophonic FM). He's soulful, funky, and metal.
Mours - http://myspace.com/themours
Mours is Josh Eppard's developing rock band. It's core members are Josh, Dave "Wavis" Parker and Ant "Session 606" Masington. Together they are Mours. They have an album in the works, but currently have shared only two rough tracks.
Session 606 - http://myspace.com/session606
Session 606 is a full band project consisting of one young man, Anthony Masington (Mours). The album is a work in progress, however, he has shared several demos and occasionally opens for Weerd Science, solo acoustic. Ant Masington also plays guitar in Weerd Science's live shows.
